The Glacier Wedding

Amin Muhammad is a visual journalist and documentary filmmaker from Pakistan currently based in the Bay Area, California, USA. He brings over a decade of experience crafting compelling narratives that shed light on pressing issues in South Asia, Germany, and the United States. Before joining the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley, he spent his career in the social development sector. Amin’s visual storytelling spans diverse subjects, ranging from human rights, environmental sustainability, and climate change to community empowerment and cultural preservation.

Thomas Sawano is an award-winning visual journalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently a staff photographer at the San Francisco Standard, he has previously worked for the nonprofit Prison Journalism Project, documentary house Bluprint Films, and Pulitzer Prize-winning newsroom Lookout Santa Cruz. His photography has been featured in the Associated Press and the San Francisco Chronicle, where he interned in the summer of 2024.
